The triple spiral is a Celtic symbol found on a number of Irish Megalithic and Neolithic sites. The most famous site is the Newgrange passage tomb which is one of the world's famous prehistoric sites and the most famous Irish prehistoric site. It is over 5000 years old, built between 3300 and 2900BC. The triple spiral could be megalithic art depicting solar alignment of that period in time, the sun is portrayed in a spiral and it shows movements of every three months; a triple spiral represents nine months. The symbol also suggests reincarnation, it is drawn in one continuous line, suggesting a constant movement of time.
